Also, chosen for this honor is Kevin Buff. Buff, a senior, has been selected to play piccolo with the NAFME All Eastern Orchestra. He plans on going to Ithaca college to pursue a degree in Music Education. Throughout his musical career, he has been selected to attend All County five years running, and was selected to participate in the NYSSMA All-State Concert twice. Buff was one of the winners of the Onondaga Civic Symphony Orchestra concerto competition, and was the winner of the CNYAMT instrumental competition last May. He is the principle flute and piccolo player for the Syracuse Youth Orchestra which will be performing at Carnegie Hall this June. Buff is humbled by this honor and is eagerly awaiting his chance to perform with this extraordinary ensemble.
