When asked what the purpose of the exercise is,  Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Chris Brown, responded, "To me this exercise is to give the students a heightened awareness of what can happen if bad decisions are made behind the wheel of a car."

Almost 400 seniors witnessed the demonstration as many of them planned to finish out the day at their Senior Ball which many of them plan to drive to.

The cast was made up of the following: Emily North, Brigid Regin, Alexis White, Olivia Castro, Luke Alberts, Ayla Yagan, Megan Hannahan, and Courtney Shoults  In front portraying the student who dies in the crash is Christopher Brown.
