Kindergarten Registration Requirements are Important to Know...

Parents should register their children at the school within their regular attendance area on February 25-28, and March 1 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. West Genesee elementary schools are East Hill (487-4648), Onondaga Road (487-4653), Split Rock (487-4656), and Stonehedge (487-4633).

If you are not sure which school your child should attend, contact the Transportation Department at 487-4576. Call the school prior to registration so your name may be placed on a mailing list to receive information regarding Kindergarten registration and screening.

When registering, parents should bring proof of immunizations, proof of age (birth or baptismal certificate), and proof of residency (utility bill, copy of lease, or mortgage).

A physical examination is also required and a dental certificate is requested for entry into Kindergarten. These examinations should be done up to one year prior to the first day of school, and should be dated September 5, 2012 or later.

Children who enter Kindergarten this Fall must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2013. Immunization requirements are located below.
