Jeffrey Fusco Resigns from the Board to Pursue Graduate Studies:
The West Genesee Board of Education accepted the resignation of board member Jeffrey Fusco at its regular meeting on August 6. Mr. Fusco is leaving the board to pursue his graduate studies outside the area, and his resignation is effective August 7.
Elected to the board in May, 2006, Mr. Fusco is a 2005 graduate of West Genesee High School and a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University.
The Board of Education announced that it will appoint a person to fill the vacant position for the remainder of the term that expires on June 30, 2009. Interested community members that have lived in the West Genesee school district for at least one year and are 18 years of age or older can send a brief cover letter and resume to Paul Pelton at the West Genesee District Office, 300 Sanderson Drive, Camillus 13031. Letters with resumes should be received in the District Office by Friday, August 29. The Board will interview interested candidates and make an appointment in September.
