WGMS Technology Students Create Library for Splash Pad

The West Genesee Middle School Technology Club designed and built a Little Free Library for our community.

Over April recess sixth grader, Julia McCann, attended a Friends of Camillus meeting and presented the idea to the group.  They loved the idea and gave  permission to build the Little Free Library so it can be installed near the Splash Pad at Camillus Pool Park.

This Little Free Library is a place where people can 'take a book or leave a book'. It is a great way to promote literacy in our community.

Several WGMS students worked on it in the classroom, but the following students really stepped up to the plate: Julia McCann, Abigail Walsh, Spencer Gosson, Anna Caruso, Maggie Kaminski, Meagan Medina, Riley Kiteveles, and Matthew Bartolotta.

With the help of the Town of Camillus Parks and Recreation Department, the Little Free Library will be enjoyed by all at the Splash Pad!
