Split Rock Honors our Veterans

On November 10, Split Rock Elementary School hosted their fourth Veterans Day Celebration. Students brought in artifacts such as pictures, uniforms and other mementos of loved ones that served in the military.

This year our Guest Speakers were Darlene Chapin, Assistant Director of Special Education at West Genesee, and Justin Forsyth, friend of Miss Greene. This year the West Genesee High School Marching Band also sent representatives to play patriotic music.

WGMS Students Show Gratitude to our Veterans

On November 8 students at WGMS were able to ask questions and talk to veterans from various eras about their experiences while serving our country. With Veterans Day later that week, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their patriotism and unyielding support and appreciation for our veterans.

Throughout the morning veterans from various branches of the military spoke with the students and answered questions about their experiences.

WGMS students and staff also raised money for Clear Path which is Upstate New York's Veteran Resource Center.
