WGMS Tech OrnamentsMiddle School Students Make Ornaments to Raise Money for Families in Need

The WGMS 7th and 8th graders, as well as students in the Design and Drawing for Production class, produced ornaments to sell for the third WGMS Ornament Sale. Also, students in the Career and Financial Management helped make the flyer to sell them.

CMS Tech OrnamentsThis year the CMS students in 7th grade who are currently taking Technology are also taking part in an Ornament Sale. They are making the wooden paw prints as part of the manufacturing unit of study.

The students put their hearts and technology skills into creating and producing these beautiful ornaments. 

All money raised from the sale of these ornaments will be donated to the respective CMS and WGMS families in need during the holiday season. If you are interested in buying some, please contact the middle school offices.

West Genesee Musicians Selected to Perform at Senior All-County Concert

West Genesee High School musicians will perform in the Senior High All-County Festival on January 12-13 at Liverpool High School. The senior high group includes grades 10-12. Students are responsible for learning the music in advance and rehearsing on Friday and Saturday before the concert is held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

Kindergarten Registration is Early this Year

Kindergarten Registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be held this year from January 8 to March 29 at the Central Registrar Office located at 300 Sanderson Drive, Camillus, NY 13031.

For information about registering your student, go to the Registration Section of the website.

Prior to coming in to register, you will need to make an appointment by clicking the link on the Kindergarten Registration 2018-2019 web page or by calling the Central Registrar at 315-487-4683.

When registering, parents should bring: proof of immunizations, proof of age, and proof of residency. A physical examination is also required and a dental certificate is requested for entry into kindergarten.

These examinations should be done up to one year prior to the first day of school. Children who enter kindergarten this fall must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2018.

Announcements about school closings, delayed openings, or early dismissal will be posted on the News Headlines section of the District website home page.

The artwork above was created by West Genesee High School twelfth grader, Cole Nowak, and was sent out to the community.

The artwork for the cards below were created by WGHS ninth grader, Gabrielle Mitchell (artwork on top was sent to the high school staff) and CMS seventh grader Margaret Mello (artwork below was sent out to elementary and middle school staff) at West Genesee. Congratulations to all three students for having their artwork selected.
