Students Compete at District Spelling Bee

West Genesee Middle School students Joseph Paoli came in first place and Cooper Corcoran in second place as they faced-off spelling such words as “tenacious” and hostilities”in the West Genesee Spelling Bee held on November 8.

West Genesee will send 12 students to join others from Central New York for a written test in February. The top 35 spellers from that round will compete in The Post-Standard WCNY Spelling Bee oral spell-down in February.
