Today many of you received your absentee ballot. Subsequent to our having placed the ballot in the mail, we discovered a typographical error of a period instead of a comma in the budget number which appeared as $92,199.225 instead of the $92,199,225. As long as you understand that our school district budget is in fact Ninety-Two Million One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty-Five dollars and not Ninety-Two Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars and Twenty-Two and a Half Cents, you may simply complete the ballot and return it to the District Office in the envelope provided.
Given the importance of the figure, we have mailed you a new ballot with the corrected figure in it. You should receive that ballot in the mail on June 2 or 3. You can wait for the corrected ballot and return it.
