Advanced Placement Scholars are Announced

Sixty-seven students and recent graduates of West Genesee High School have been named Advanced Placement Scholars by The College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations. Several levels of achievement are recognized based on the number of year-long courses and examinations (or their equivalent semester-long courses and examinations).

Philip Martin has been named a National AP Scholar.  This honor is granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

Senior Alexis Eastman along with graduates Stefan Atanasov, Owen Brown, James Clark, Lindsey Cunningham, Benjamin Davis, Rose Hays, Kayla Hoovler, Philip Martin, Luke Mullane, Aidan Tarolli, and Michael White qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these examinations.

Twenty-three students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honors Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these examinations. Seniors who qualified are Thomas Cipro, Jacob DiBiase, Madeline Ford, Gabrielle Gardner, Alexander Gongora, Hailey Kremenek, Eric Leubner, Joseph Parisi, Emma Repice, Andrew Schneid, Maggie Smith, Mia Wallak,  and Eric Wenner; and graduates Declan Braun, Anthony DiLorenzo, Haley Hagadorn, Mikaela Kaminski, Annabelle Levy, Katherine McManus, Holly O’Hern, Joseph Pelton, Mi Tran, and Anna Kate Waters also received this recognition.

Thirty-two qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP Examinations. The AP Scholars are seniors James Alberts, Anna Cahalan, Robert Ciarla, Hannah Craybas, Elizabeth Croft, Hannah Flynn, John Hickey, Fateema Islam, Brendan Kemp, Kaliya Kritzer, Daniel Lounsbery II, Marissa Mazzara, Jessica Parsons, Victoria Reaume, and Jacob Sachar; along with graduates Noah Annable, Connor Barry, Samuel Blais, Molly Channels, Meghan Cook, Marissa Dow, Teagan Dow, Greta Hahn, Emma Lounsbery, Katelyn Lowther, Mikayla Mannara, Jack McLane, Olivia Misciagna, Mark Salanger, Madison J. Smith, Chloe Soltys, and Zachary Stapleton.
