Mr. Schiedo then mentioned the Westside Support Network and the Mental Health Awareness and Wellness Night they are holding on May 20, 2019. Mr. Schiedo also talked about the new Raptor Security System that has been implemented in all school buildings, as well as additional security measures that are still to be implemented. Mr. Schiedo closed his remarks by speaking of the Mock DWI Simulation at the High School, the Senior Ball, and the all-night party, all taking place this Friday, May 10, 2019. He thanked the tireless parent volunteers for all their efforts organizing the all-night party.

OPEN FORUM

Paul Pelton recognized Charlene Chase, whose retirement at the end of this school year will marks 24 years of service in the District as a Food Service Worker II. He noted her dedication, and the significant role she played in making the Food Service Department successful, especially the kitchen, where she was the backup to the Cook. She worked serving students and special functions. She will be missed, but plans to spend more time with her family.

Paul Pelton also spoke of Catherine VanCamp, retiring after 24 years of dedicated service as a Food Service Worker II as well. Cathy started out serving but spent the majority of her time in the role of shipping and receiving, where her organizational skills, attention to detail, and hard work made a great impact on the success of the Food Service Department. Cathy will be missed. She plans to spend more time enjoying her children and grandchildren.
