West Genesee residents approved the 2019-2020 budget and bus propositions on May 21, 2019.
The $90,486,935 budget received 1,573 favorable votes and 282 votes in opposition.
The proposition (#1) to purchase district buses received 1,461 favorable votes and 390 votes in opposition.
Proposition #2 to provide Enhanced State Aid for Energy Performance Improvements received 1,608 favorable votes and 248 votes in opposition.
The propositions (#3 and #4) that would provide funding for two area libraries (Maxwell and Fairmount) was put to a vote. The proposition for Maxwell Library received 1,489 favorable votes and 356 votes in opposition and the proposition for Fairmount Library received 1,479 favorable votes and 369 votes in opposition.

Board of Education Candidates
The candidates for the Board of Education received the following votes: Eric Bacon-811; Elizabeth Donaldson-1,419; Roberta Herron-521; Jennifer James-1,288; and Aaron Ryder-1,020.
Elizabeth Donaldson will fill the three-year one-month and ten-day term starting on May 22. Jennifer James and Aaron Ryder will fill the two open three-year terms starting July 1.
