WGHS senior Lia Rice comes in second place at the Optimist International Oratorical District contest held the week of May 8. Rice competed with 10 other contestants with the theme of “Discovering the Optimism within Me”. She will receive a $1,500 Scholarship for placing second. Congratulations!
