High School Students Participate in a DWI Crash Assembly for their Peers

Collage of DWI Mock CrashOn Friday, June 3, 2021, a mock car crash was presented at West Genesee High School by the Camillus Police Department, Fairmount Fire Department, Waves Ambulance, Buranich Funeral Home, Meyers Collision, the District Attorney, and Medical Examiner’s Office with students from the high school.

When asked what the purpose of the exercise is, West Genesee High School Principal Tracy Klefbeck responded, “The goal of the mock crash presentation is to give our young drivers and passengers a visual demonstration of the real-life consequences to driving while impaired. Using WG seniors as actors in the demonstration makes this a powerful experience for their peer audience”

The cast was made up of the following students Zara Dafoe, Joshua Farrell, Jacob Mueller, and Andrew Sheedy.

Thank you to all of the community organizations and students who participated!
