It Happened at School…WGMS Students Learn about the Anatomy of the Eye

Dr. Druger Teaches WGMS StudentsOn April 29, Dr. Druger visited students in Maggie Barrett’s West Genesee Middle School 7th grade Life Science and 8th grade Physical Science classes after school. These students are interested in pursuing a STEM career.

He taught students about the anatomy of the eye, shared images of eye problems, a video of eye surgery to remove cataracts, and donated sheep eyes for each student to dissect.

WGMS Student Disects an EyeThis hands on experience provided students with a first hand opportunity to see what it is like to be a surgeon. This after-school event provided a unique opportunity for students to collaborate with a professional doctor working in our Camillus community.
