RE: Vaccination Clinic (Ages 5-11)
Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,
We have been working with Onondaga County Health Department on many facets of the COVID-19 pandemic across these many months. Their support has been appreciated and valued to West Genesee CSD and all school districts in our county.
This morning, we confirmed dates for upcoming vaccination clinics for children ages 5-11. Wegmans Pharmacy will run the clinic for the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine on Wednesday, November 17 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The follow-up date will be three weeks later (Wednesday, December 8*) for the second dose during the same timeframe. The location will be Stonehedge Elementary and is available for any child age 5-11. Local pediatricians have offered to be available to answer vaccination questions.
(Please note: there is a Grade-6 Concert at 7:00 p.m. on December 8 for West Genesee Chorus, Band, and Orchestra. We are in the process of scheduling further clinics in the near future.)
Registration can be found here and is available to all of our school partnerships within the community. Please select the clinic for Stonehedge Elementary School. (The clinic will no longer appear on the link after available appointments have been filled.)
A few reminders:
- Please have insurance cards available. Pharmacies are required to submit insurance information and insurance companies will cover a $0 copay.
- Please have your child(ren) dressed appropriately. Layers are better in cold weather and a short sleeve t-shirt as a bottom layer will help facilitate the administration of the vaccine.
- Parents should plan on 30 minutes to complete the entire process, which includes the 15 minute post-vaccination waiting period.
If an appointment has to be canceled, please do so by going online to the link to cancel or contact Wegmans at 315-698-6731. This will provide opportunity for others.
Thank you for your continued partnership in this ongoing time of priority to health and wellness.
