Dear CMS Families,
Last night the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) changed its guidelines for contact tracing regarding the necessity for an individual to quarantine. The guideline now reads:
“Contact tracing will be conducted for close contacts (any individual within 6 feet of an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more) of laboratory-confirmed or probable COVID-19 patients.”
Given this new information, the District, out of an abundance of caution, believes that all teachers in the impacted classroom on Friday, October 18th now need to quarantine through October 30th. The teachers were sent home prior to the start of classes today.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at 315-672-3159 or at blozier@westgenesee.org. The safety of our entire school community remains our highest priority.
Sincerely,
Beth Anne Lozier
Principal
