In the West Genesee reopening plan, parents have the option of selecting in-person/hybrid learning or remote learning.
An additional critical piece of information we need is whether or not you may be able to transport your child(ren).
Please follow this link and login to Schooltool (https://wg.schooltool.cnyric.org/schooltoolweb/) to let us know your decisions for each of your children. (Further instructions on submitting the survey is available via video at the top of the Schooltool homepage.)
It is imperative that we receive these commitments back no later than August 10, 2020.
As a reminder, the reopening plan calls for the reconfiguration of our buildings and instructional program as follows:
- Grades K – 4 will remain in your home schools
- In-Person – Monday through Friday
- Grades 5 – 6 will be housed at West Genesee Middle School
- Hybrid of In-Person / Remote
- A – K – In-Person Monday & Tuesday; Remote Wednesday to Friday
- L – Z – Remote Monday to Wednesday; In-Person Thursday & Friday
- Hybrid of In-Person / Remote
Note: Grade 5 students will be in classrooms with and proximity to other children from their elementary school. Further, every effort will be made to keep them with teachers from that same school.
- Grades 7 – 8 will be housed at Camillus Middle School

As the beginning of the school year is rapidly approaching, we have a great deal of work to do. Please be assured that we are trying our best to always keep the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff in mind with every decision we make.
On behalf of West Genesee, I would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we get back up and running. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
David C. Bills
Superintendent of Schools
