We would like to Welcome back Officer Timothy Macholl on a full-time basis to Camillus Middle School. Officer Macholl previously worked as an SPO also at East Hill and Split Rock and now is in the Camillus Middle School building full-time working with both students and staff.
Officer Macholl was employed by the Town of Camillus Police Department in 1994. During his 22-year career with the department, he had been promoted to Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and retired in 2016 as a Lieutenant. During his career, Officer Macholl had commanded the department’s Emergency Services Team and received F.B.I. certification as a Police Sniper. Officer Macholl has been involved in numerous incidents throughout the Town of Camillus and Onondaga County. In 2008, he received an Award for Bravery, from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office for his involvement in a call in which he and other officers were fired upon.
In addition to being a West Genesee SPO Officer, Officer Macholl is the father of two boys who currently attend Camillus Middle and West Genesee Middle school.
Principal Przybylski shared, “Officer Macholl is a tremendous asset to our Camillus Middle School Community. He has built strong relationships with staff, students and families and is well respected through the building. Officer Macholl is always willing to lend a hand when needed whether it is chaperoning an after school event, helping out in the cafeteria , or greeting our students as they start their day he truly looks out for the students at CMS. We are grateful he is a part of the CMS family.”
