“Help & Hope for School and Pandemic Stresses: Sharing Stories and Strategies”
Please join West Genesee Central School District and Onondaga Free Library online on Tuesday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. for a webinar on Help & Hope for School and Pandemic Stresses: Sharing Stories and Strategies.
Teens and parents are invited to learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions as well as what steps they should take to find support for themselves or their friends.
One in five teens experience a mental health condition in a given year and 80% of them are not currently receiving treatment. Get the facts and then hear from individuals living with mental illness who will share their road to recovery. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain an understanding of an often misunderstood topic. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end the stigma around mental illness.
Presented by National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Syracuse. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.
