Hello WGMS families,
I hope you are all well. I’m writing to address the concern some parents have raised about bus routes and transportation times changing in the near future. Currently, the district is reevaluating bus routes and trying to find a sustainable long-term solution in light of a bus driver shortage and the many obstacles faced since the opening of school.
There is an ongoing process of evaluating our current status and exploration of changes. To this point, a great deal of information has been reviewed, however it is still not complete. Please be assured that as soon as a more definitive plan becomes available, I will relay the information to you.
I understand how any potential change could disrupt your family schedule and I appreciate your patience. In light of the bus driver shortage, the new middle school configuration this year, and our return to in-person instruction during a pandemic, I believe that all are trying their best to find the most reasonable long term solution.
