Message from Supt. Bills: Possible Power Outages

Sunday, December 5, 2021

Good afternoon parents, students, staff,

As you may be aware, local news stations are reporting high winds for our area tonight into tomorrow morning. National Grid has contacted us to let us know that additional crews will be working throughout the night to be responsive to any weather related power outages.

West Genesee CSD will be working with updated information from the power company, safety crews, and our staff for power to our facilities and implications for travel. We will assess through the night any need for further action. Should a need arise, delays or closings will remain part of our standard repertoire of safety.

This communication is to remind you to be aware of potential messages in the morning through media and messaging systems from school. Charging personal devices tonight may help with communication tomorrow.  Should there be a delay* announced, it would be implemented to our new schedules and transportation changes scheduled to begin tomorrow, Monday, December 6, and NOT former schedules.

*Should there be implications for the Special Referendum Project Vote scheduled for 6 a.m.-9 p.m. at WG High School in the Auditorium Lobby, we will communicate any changes.

Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon,
