West Genesee Middle School students Thomas Cleveland and Blake Bucktooth came in first and second place respectively as they faced-off spelling such words as “judicious” and “respiration” in the West Genesee Spelling Bee held on November 2.
West Genesee will send 4 students to join others from Central New York for a written test in February. The top 35 spellers from that round will compete in The Post-Standard WCNY Spelling Bee oral spell-down in February. Listed at right, under the picture, are the students who will represent West Genesee. Below the four qualifiers are listed.
