New Principal at Split Rock Elementary School Starts on March 4!

Headshot of Matt Kimpland Split Rock PrincipalOn February 7, Matthew Kimpland was appointed by the Board of Education as the Split Rock Elementary School Principal and will start on March 4. He replaces Todd Freeman who left at the end of December to take a position at another school district.

Kimpland comes to us from G. Ray Bodley High School in the Fulton City School District, and he is currently their Alternative Education Coordinator. Prior to that he was an Administrative Intern at that high school and also at Volney Elementary School. Also, he has taught as a RTI Math Specialist and a third-grade teacher at Volney Elementary School.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education for grades 1-6 at SUNY Oswego; his Master of Science in Childhood Lit for grades 1-6 from Walden University; and his Certificate of Advanced Studies in School-Building Leadership from Le Moyne College.
