Presentation at WGHS about Mental Health

15 for Life Presentation InfoPlease join us for an important conversation about our students and mental health presented by the 15 for Life Foundation and guest speaker Doug Jackson, former SU All- American lacrosse player. The event will take place in the WGHS Auditorium on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 starting at 7:00 p.m.

Robert Kavovit was an All-American father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, coach, and lacrosse player. He was all about family, all the time! Rob wore #15 because it represented “Family,” his family, the 1 girl and 5 boys that are the Kavovits. Although he had a strong family and a beautiful life, Rob succumbed to depression in March 2021.

In Rob’s honor his family carries the torch of the15 For Life Foundation to shed the shame and embarrassment around depression and mental health. By opening dialogue in a fresh and honest way,15 For Life’s mission is to better equip people of all ages to understand and recognize depression and mental illness potentially affecting themselves, family, and/or friends.
