Split Rock Elementary has an enrollment of 350 students in grades K-5 with class sizes average around 20.

A school has been on this site since the late 1800s. The current building consists of two facilities connected by a bridge. The older section was built in the ‘60s and the newer wing was constructed in 1972. Both buildings were completely renovated in 1992 creating a bright, colorful and technologically rich environment.

The District motto is “We Celebrate Learning” and to that end we strive to do our best to continuously improve each year. A dedicated staff of teachers, assistants, teacher aides, secretaries, custodians, food service workers and bus drivers work as a team to provide a complete educational program. Split Rock students do very well each year on the state assessments in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. We are proud of our students’ success.

Parents are actively involved at Split Rock in many ways. The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) has a long history of providing support and enriching the educational experience for students. The fall Welcome Social sponsored by the PTO is an excellent opportunity to learn about all the PTO provides for Split Rock students.
