West Genesee residents approved the 2023-2024 Budget on May 16, 2023. The $105,749,050 budget received 600 favorable votes and 159 votes in opposition.
The proposition (#1) for the Transportation and Maintenance Equipment Purchase received 597 favorable votes and 160 votes in opposition.
The propositions (#2, #3, and #4) that would provide funding for three area libraries (Fairmount Community, Maxwell Memorial, and Onondaga Free) were put to a vote. The proposition for Fairmount Community Library received 585 favorable votes and 168 votes in opposition; the proposition for Maxwell Memorial Library received 604 favorable votes and 152 votes in opposition; and the proposition for Onondaga Free Library received 590 favorable votes and 168 votes in opposition.
The proposition (#5) for the Addition of an Ex Officio Student Board Member to the Board of Education received 598 favorable votes and 158 votes in opposition.
