The West Genesee Board of Education has selected David C. Bills to be their next Superintendent of Schools. Bills will be appointed at the June 19, 2019 Board of Education meeting.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome David to our West Genesee family,” says Board of Education President Roberta Herron. “Along with his experience in education and leadership, Bills brings a core belief in the continuous improvement and support for students in all areas of learning.
“During this extensive selection process, the Board set out to work with many different stakeholder groups, value their feedback, and find the most qualified individual to move our District forward. His background, communication style, commitment to students and a personality that is both self-effacing and humorous makes him the perfect choice to lead our District into its next chapter.” adds Herron.
Bills joins West Genesee with over 30 years of educational experience. Twenty-three of those years in a leadership role. He has been the sitting superintendent in Honeoye Central School District for the past 11 years and an active community member.
A CNY native, David and his wife Julie are looking forward to relocating back to the region and living in the West Genesee Central School District.

He also shared, “Positive experiences often come from opportunity provided and the support of others. I am grateful for mentors and role models that have inspired me. Bills will begin at West Genesee Central School District on September 1, 2019.
