Camp Healing Hearts
Camp healing hearts is a healing and fun four day summer camp for children, grades first through sixth, who have been affected by the death of a loved one. Hospice of cny’s camp healing hearts offers creative activities, caring adults, core camp activities (like swimming and horseback riding), and grief support in the comfort of a traditional fun-filled camp. Volunteers are needed this summer. You must be 16 years of age. The camp is located at camp iroquois in manlius.

LE MOYNE COLLEGE SUMMER SCHOLAR PROGRAM – students completing their sophomore or junior year of high school can participate in this program. Normally a 3 credit course would cost $1,791 but students enrolled in this program can pay only $450 per course. The requirements for the Summer Scholars are “B” student or better, have involvement with school and/or community activities. Camp Good Days and Special Times
Camp Good Days and Special Times is looking for volunteers for all summer programs. Volunteers are needed at the weeklong, overnight camping facility in Branchport to act as counselors for 8-17 year olds struggling with challenges such as cancer or sickle-cell anemia. The sessions run from June through August. They are also looking for counselors for the four day long summer day camp for Junior Good Days, which is for 4-7 year olds in Syracuse from June. Lions Diabetes Day Camp on the Seneca River
Mission: The purpose of Lions Camp Hickory, Inc. is to provide a safe, nurturing and enjoyable day camping experience for children ages 6 to 12, with type 1 diabetes, while developing within each camper improved knowledge of diabetes management that will enable each child to maintain a balanced program of meal planning, exercise and insulin and the ability to cope with the special challenges of living with diabetes.
To promote the ability of children with type 1 diabetes to develop self management by giving them the skills and knowledge in an educational and recreational setting.
The Vision of Lions Camp Hickory, Inc. shall be: To foster camaraderie among a group of children with type 1 diabetes in a non-threatening and educational program in a park setting, and To develop a strong relationship with the parents of children with type 1 diabetes, and To continue developing the day camp program through input from quality medical staff and a caring and compassionate counseling staff, and To be recognized as a valued resource and model camp for children with type 1 diabetes, in the Central New York Community.

S.U. has summer college for high school students.
