Letter to Seniors/Parents/Friends of Class of 2021

February 1, 2021

Dear Seniors, Parents, and Friends of the Class of 2021,

We hope this letter finds you and your family well. We would like to assure you that the senior team is already working to come up with plans to safely celebrate our Class of 2021 in the coming months! As you know, we have last spring’s experience to build upon as we reimagine senior events in this current climate.

We are continually seeking information from county officials about future gatherings. While this year will most likely not look traditional, we will certainly find ways to make senior events special and memorable for our Class of 2021. Our goal, as always, is to maintain as many of our Wildcat traditions as possible. First and foremost comes the health and safety of our students and staff as we plan these celebrations.

It is our promise to you that we will communicate as timely as possible so you are able to make plans; however, please know that our decision making is directly tied to CDC, county, and state directives. That said, we must expect that information will come quickly and could change at any moment. Therefore, to stay informed, you and your Senior must be checking email regularly for communication from us. Also, your Senior should join the class on the Remind App if they have not already done so. Remind is VITAL for your Senior to receive class information and announcements. The app is free and can be used on cell phones or on PCs through the app itself or by receiving text messages or emails. Students in the following alphabet groups by last name must text the corresponding code to 81010:

A – G @wghsclass
H-O @wghsclasso
P-Z @7caegd

We also have a Twitter Page @senateclass2021 and an Instagram page @wgseniors2021.

Finally, please be sure that your Senior has ordered a cap and gown from Jostens. If not, do so HERE at nygrad.com as soon as possible to ensure delivery in time for graduation. Please note that caps and gowns are delivered to the school and do not get distributed until the spring. If you would like to have your name and post-graduate plans displayed on the WGHS Marquee, please complete this Google Form. In addition, you can have your great news shared on the WG Senior Instagram page!

We look forward to future communications with you about our Class of 2021 events! This letter will also be sent to you via email so the links will work.

Sincerely,

Mr. Wayne Ackles
Executive Principal

Mrs. Tracy Klefbeck
Senior Events Principal

Mrs. Becky DeCesare
