Update: They are now collecting at Maxwell Library and Fairmount Community Church (now located on Terry Road) through August 13, and they will be outside of Walmart on August 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The West Genesee PTA/PTO District Council is once again sponsoring a School Supply Drive. The purpose is to provide free school supplies for students in need of assistance who attend any school in the West Genesee School District. Last year the program helped well over 150 families and anticipate the need to be much the same this fall.
Boxes, labeled WGSD School Supply and decorated in blue and gold, will be placed all over the Camillus community including:
St. Josephs Church, Fairmount Community Church (on Terry Road), Christ Community Church, Maxwell Library, and Camillus Tops Supermarket.
Some of the most needed items include: new or gently used backpacks, dividers and binders. The group is also collecting glue sticks, pencils, pens, highlighters, dry erase markers, paper and plastic folders, notebooks, loose-leaf paper, erasers and index cards.
West Genesee students will collect school supply donations at the Walmart in Camillus on August 18 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
For those in need of assistance, please fill out the following form by clicking here by Saturday, August 18.
Every effort will be made to fulfill your child’s list, but supplies are limited. First priority given to those students whose information we have received in advance. We appreciate the commitment of the Camillus community in making this drive successful!
