West Genesee High School junior Osvaldo Valenzuela was named a Syracuse delegate to the 2023 Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PRHYLI) . Hailey Hann received this honor last year, and she also attended and participated again this year along with Valenzuela .
This program promotes the involvement of Hispanic/Latino students in public policy issues by learning about the legislative process. These experiences as a participant in the Institute will help delegates to ask many more questions in dialogue and encourage them to seek many more answers in discussion.
Being selected as a PRHYLI delegate speaks highly of Valenzuela and Hann’s leadership potential and skills for future achievement. Congratulations!
