The services listed below are provided to ensure that families have direct access to the available resources in our area.

ACCESS: Call 315-463-1100; 110 West Fayette St., Suite 5C, Syracuse, NY 13204; Support with identifying and connecting to community resources. Designed for children and youth ages 5-21 in Onondaga County facing emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as their families.

ACR Health: Call 315-475-2430; Go to https://www.acrhealth.org/; Preventative and youth health-related services. Provides sexual health programming, family peer advocacy, and support for LGBTQ+ youth.

Al-anon/Alateen: Call 315-471-0191; Go to https://al-anon.org/; Support for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking

Child Care Solutions: Call 315-446-1220; https://www.childcaresyracuse.org/; 6724 Thompson Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211; Provides information and resources to parents, providers, employers, and community leaders who seek solutions to their child care needs.

Contact: Call 315-251-0600; Go to  https://www.contactsyracuse.org/; 24-hour telephone counseling, suicide prevention, and crisis counseling in Onondaga County. Follow-up care for those in crisis upon discharge from local hospitals or other mental health agencies

Crisis Contact: Dial 211 or Go to https://www.211cny.com/; connects callers to critical health and human services in their community. Provides support with locating basic resources such as food, shelter, employment, or health care.

Family Tapestry: Call 315-317-5587; Go to www.familytapestryinc.org; Peer support/social group for youth ages 12 and older who are living with mental health challenges.

The Food Sense Program: Call 315-672-5820; Offered by the Food Bank of CNY. It is an opportunity to purchase groceries monthly, at a discount. People of any age or income can participate. 

HEARS Family Line: Call 1-888-554-327; Go to https://ocfs.ny.gov/programs/cwcs/hears.php; Representatives guide families to services including food, clothing, housing, medical and behavioral health care services, parenting education and child care.

Hope for the Bereaved: Call 315-475-4673; Go to  https://hopeforbereaved.com/; 4500 Onondaga Boulevard, Syracuse, NY 13219; Offers support and counseling for those who are grieving

HopeNY: Call 1-877-8-HOPENY; Go to https://oasas.ny.gov/hopeline; Help for Issues related to drugs, alcohol, and gambling

NAMI: Call 315-487-2085; Go to https://namisyracuse.org/; Provides advocacy, support, public awareness, and education to individuals and families affected by mental illness

Onondaga County Child Abuse Hotline: Call 315-422-9701; 24-hour phone line. Make a confidential report if you believe a child is being abused or neglected

Suicide Prevention Hotline: Dial 988; Go to https://988lifeline.org;  Find help for yourself and learn how to help others

Upstate University Pediatric Emergency Department: Call 315-464-6521; https://www.upstate.edu/emergency/healthcare/ped_ed/ ; 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse NY 13210; Will connect patients with acute psychiatric complaints to emergency psychiatric services at Upstate Medical University.

Vera House: Call 315-468-3260;  24-hour support line. Shelter, advocacy, and counseling for women, men, and children experiencing sexual and/or domestic violence

Youth Emergency Services for Mental Health (YES): Call 315-463-1100; 24-hour crisis line and mobile team for youth under age 19 who are experiencing escalating mental health issues. A mobile team can assess, give resource information, and expedite the referral process.
