We are looking forward to the first day of school tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4. Let's keep our children safe! Watch for buses starting this week in ALL area communities! When you see flashing lights, please STOP for buses in both directions. Watch your speed in school zones too! And plan on a little more time to get where you need to go in case you encounter a bus on its route. Help us get the word out! (Please SHARE)

Thank you to the West Genesee PTA/PTO District Council and our generous community for their contributions to the 2024 School Supply Drive. Those donations helped provide school supplies to over 145 West Genesee students. A special thank you to their partners, Fairmount Fire Department for their donation of over 60 backpacks, Walmart Supercenter in Camillus and the Camillus, Geddes, Solvay Rotary Club for donating supplies. The District Council is committed to supporting any student in need of supplies. Upcoming Orientations and Locker Nights!

Many students enjoy breakfast and lunch at school on a regular basis. It is understandable when families find it challenging to provide those meals during school vacations. Please note the following free lunch and food pantry information. Food pantries partner with the Food Bank of CNY to provide low cost, nutritious food to those in need. The following is a list of food pantries and services available in our community to assist families. WGCSD PTA/PTO District Council Provides School Supplies to Students in Need For 15 years, West Genesee PTA/PTO District Council has been collecting and providing school supplies to students in need. Parents/Guardians can register their students to receive supplies by clicking this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIcHZOb5ZAe5ys_UClL3uk0lGYFFQyPGbtobSZy8d8cLZZDw/viewform. We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at West Genesee CSD will be able to continue to receive one FREE breakfast and one FREE lunch meal per day at school. This initiative was implemented in December 2023 and was a result of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.
