We are celebrating our principals in October for #NationalPrincipalsMonth! WGCSD Principals, thank you for all the amazing work you do for our students and staff!! #WildcatPride #thankaprincipalmonth #thankaprincipaltoday #ThankAPrincipal
School Bus Safety Drills are so important! So glad our wonderful transportation staff teaches safety to our students!!
Every 9/11 we remember the people who died and the bravery of the people who risked their lives to save others. On this 25th anniversary we remember how we, as a nation, pulled together during that difficult time. #neverforget #remembering911
The Weekend Before School Starts Checklist:
☑️ Pick out an awesome first-day outfit. Because you’ve got to start the year looking like you mean business.😎
☑️ Get your backpack ready. Pack your supplies and figure out where that water bottle has been hiding since June. 🎒
☑️ Get LOTS of rest. Summer bedtime is officially on borrowed time. 😴

Free Meals Information
The West Genesee School District continues to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under Child Nutrition Programs. Under CEP, all students that attend West Genesee CSD buildings receive breakfast and lunch at no charge for the 2026-2027 school year.
However, for the District to receive further state and federal funding, we need eligible families to complete a household income eligibility form. If you receive SNAP benefits, you do not need to complete the application. Refer to the chart to see if your income may qualify you for additional benefits. If your income falls below the threshold and you do not receive SNAP benefits, please complete the form. https://www.cn.nysed.gov/sites/cn/files/incomeeligibilitygdlns.pdf
If your children qualify, students may also receive additional benefits such as college application fee waivers, SAT and other testing fee waivers, and/or Summer EBT.
All students receive free meals regardless of whether you complete an income eligibility form.
What does this mean for your child(ren)?
All students enrolled at West Genesee CSD are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2026-2027 school year. A full meal must include a serving of a fruit or vegetable for breakfast and lunch. If a fruit or vegetable is not taken, the student will be charged a la carte for their meal. Milk is included as part of the free meal. Milk is also available for purchase.
