Split Rock Families,
It has been a wonderful week welcoming each student back into the building after Spring break. I heard alot about the fun trips and relaxing days at home.
I am excited to share a great community opportunity for parents

Split Rock Families,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Open House last week!
I will be teaching LifeSkills in all third grade classes for the next five weeks. LifeSkills covers various topics to help children make safe and responsible choices as they grow.
Enjoy Spring Break!

Split Rock Families,
Over the last two weeks I have had the pleasure to teach Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons with Mrs. Nagle and Mrs. Felty in the library. All K-4 students learned about feelings and coping strategies. Check in with your child at home about what they learned.
Conversation Starters:
-Ask your child to name different feelings
-Ask your child about different coping skills (deep breaths, taking a break, talking to someone, etc)
-Give an example of a coping skill you use that is helpful
For example when I’m feeling upset I always talk to a friend or listen to music.

Split Rock Families,
I hope everyone has a relaxing winter recess. Check out the February bucket list for at-home family fun!
When students return to school, I will teach Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Life Skills lessons in the Library with Mrs. Nagle. The Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students will learn about social-emotional skills, identify feelings/emotions, and be introduced to coping skills. Our 3rd- and 4th-grade students will focus on life skills and friendship-building.
Please reach out to me anytime on Parent Square or by calling the main office.

Welcome back Split Rock Students and Families!
It has been a great week getting back into routine for all students. I loved hearing all the different things students did over break. The best part from this week was being able to greet all students and remind them they were missed!
Please know I am always available via parent square if you need to share anything or check in with me about your child!
