District Students Compete at District Spelling Bee Camillus Middle School 7th grader Nikola Jakimoski was the overall winner of the West Genesee Spelling Bee held on November 30, 2023. West Genesee will send four students to join others from Central New York for a written test in February. The top 35 spellers from that round will compete in The Post-Standard WCNY Spelling Bee oral spell-down in February. Results of the Special Referendum Vote on December 11, 2023
West Genesee CSD residents voted on a Special Referendum on December 11, 2023, and the results were as follows:
The Proposition (#1) for the Capital Project received 2,100 favorable votes and 1,177 votes in opposition. The Proposition has been approved.
The Proposition (#2) for the Land Purchase received 1,737 favorable votes and 1,552 votes in opposition. The Proposition has been approved.
