Yesterday CMS and WGHS students participated in the CNY Olympiad at FM along with 550 other students in the area. They had a great time and a lot of fun.
A book publishing party at CMS today and tonight for the students' book "Our Journey to America." Supt. Bills shared, "what an honor to interact with our students (and their families) to celebrate cultures and new beginnings! A very impressive group!"
LECNY Poster Contest Winners
Camillus Middle School eighth graders Leanne Mere and Hannah Nguyen are the grand prize winner of the LECNY (Language Educators of CNY) National World Language Week poster contest.
LECNY (Language Educators of Central New York) is a professional organization made up of language teachers Pre-K-16, administrators, and post-secondary students within the seven New York counties of Cayuga, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego.
They will be presented with the award at a future meeting along with their teacher and families. Congratulations!
WGCSD is hosting a job fair on Monday, 6/10 at the WGHS Library! They are looking for Custodial Workers, Bus Mechanics, & Maintenance Workers and will be conducting on the spot interviews. This is a great team & an exciting opportunity!

The Annual District Budget Vote and BOE Election is TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 The Annual School District Board of Education Election and Budget Vote will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in the West Genesee High School Auditorium Lobby. You are eligible to vote on May 21, 2024 if you are a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and have been a District resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote. No pre-registration is required although personal identification may be requested at the polls. Questions? Call the District Clerk at 315-487-4563. Residents who will not be in the area on May 21, 2024 may apply for an absentee ballot at the District Office. If the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the application must have been submitted at least seven days prior to the vote. If the absentee ballot is to be picked up by the voter in person, applications will be accepted until May 20, 2024. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2024.
